Travel: Stats tracker

Last updated 24 September 2026

This app collects nothing. Your trips, countries, flights and everything else you enter stay on your devices and in your own iCloud. There is no account, no server of the developer's, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising.

What is stored, and where

Your trips with their stays and flights, hikes, country notes, banknotes, custom airlines and airports, and your settings are stored in the app's own storage on your iPhone.

If you are signed in to iCloud, the app also keeps them in the private database of your own iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit), so they sync to your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. That database belongs to your Apple Account: only you can read it. The developer cannot see it, and nothing in it is sent anywhere else. If you are not signed in to iCloud, your data stays on the device.

Your Academy quiz progress is kept on the device only. It is not synced and not in backups.

Photos of banknotes

If you turn on Banknotes and add a photo, you pick it with the system photo picker, which gives the app only the photo you chose, not your library. The app scales it down and removes its metadata, including any location, then stores it on your device and in your iCloud private database with the banknote. It goes nowhere else.

Backups

Settings → Data can export a backup: a JSON file with your records (and banknote photos), which you save or send wherever you choose. The app never uploads it anywhere itself. Importing reads a file you pick. Where you keep a backup after exporting it is up to you.

What leaves your phone

Apart from syncing with your own iCloud, the app makes one kind of request: it fetches current exchange rates from two public services, frankfurter.dev (European Central Bank rates) and open.er-api.com. This happens at most about once a day when you open a country, and, with Banknotes turned on, once a month to value the collection. The request asks for every currency against the euro and contains nothing else: no identifier, no account, and nothing about you or the countries you have visited. As with any web request, those services see the request itself and your IP address; the app sends them nothing more. The rates are kept on the device.

What the app does not do

If you have chosen to share crash reports and analytics with developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may pass anonymised crash reports on to the developer. That is Apple's feature, controlled in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Settings → Data → Delete all data removes your records from this iPhone and from your iCloud, and so from your other devices. You can also remove the app's iCloud data in your iPhone's iCloud settings, and deleting the app removes what is on the device.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If the app ever starts doing something this page does not describe, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
